Vicki: I used to love looking at the stars. What do you see?
Henry: It's hard to describe. Not just the points of lights others see, but for me the sky is lit up like mid-day.
Vicki: Is the whole night like that for you?
Henry: It's like living your life in technicolor. All the colors are brilliant, intense. I see points of the spectrum people can't even imagine. And the people - people .... the people, they glow ... their breath ... their blood ... all pulsing beneath the surface of their skin ... it's heady ...

Vicki: Okay, Mike, let me get this straight, you wanna hire me?
Mike: I guess something that just came up - a homicide ...
vicki: That you can't solve! That you need me ...
Henry: Us!
Vicki: Us - to solve?

Mike: It's complicated.
Vicki: That's my line.
Mike: Just the thing - it's you kind of case.

Mike: See the thing is - I don't want to be in your funny-books.
Henry: It's not going to be funny I can assure you, detective, it will be deathly serious, tragic even.

Henry: You thinks she's ..... different?
Mike: I was going to go with creepy and freakish - but different kinda sums it up.

Mike: (twirling fingers at temple simulating a courtly bow) Your lordship.
Henry: Constable.

Henry: You know I like him. I'm going to regret having him drawn eaten by hell hounds ...
They need bigger teeth.

Henry: I think I know a little bit about break-ins - who do you think stole the crown jewels from the Tower of London?
Vicki: Yeah - I think the crown jewels are still there.
Henry: You think so ...

Vicki: Don't be petty Henry - it doesn't become you.

Kate: Why is there almost no records on you Felicia?
Felicia: I'm not a joiner
Kate:: No school records, no health records - hell! Not even a library card.
Felicia: I'm not a big reader either

Vicki: Outside of their driver's licenses they don't have school records, medical records, immunizations... I mean they've been totally off the grid for their entire lives.
Henry: Neither do I, that doesn't make me a killer ... Huh, bad example.

Vicki: What about the eyes - I mean - what do they say? Demon?
Henry: It certainly doesn't say cocktail waitress - I've had my experience with those.

Henry: I have been reading up on my lycantrophy.
Vicki: Werewolves?
Henry: Well, maybe not a wolf. Shapeshifters have been linked to every animal - from bears to goats to the South American Encantado ... it's a were dolphin ...
Vicki: I'm pretty sure it wasn't a dolphin ... you know what? The Shapeshifter idea is not all bad ...
Henry: Oh - it's goood.
Vicki: Why?
Henry: I've been stuck on my villain for many series. Celluci being shredded by were-thingies - now THAT gives me new inspiration
Vicki: Henry! Stay with the program!

Mike: We might be barking up the wrong tree with this were-cat thing

Alyssa Bannock: You know what it's like to have to hide your true nature?
Henry: Intimately

Henry: (to Mike) If you still work animal control, I think a skunk got lose in my underground garage.

This episode is somewhat inspired by the novel Blood Trail, except in the novel it was were wolves, not jaguars.

The production is located in Vancouver - and they have three Toronto vehicles:
One Toronto cab and two police cars.
The Toronto cab driving Vicki to Bannock farms is #723.

Encantado - The South American were-dolphin is called the Encantado (meaning "Enchanted" or "Nice to meet you" in Spanish).
