The news is out - Lifetime has decided NOT to acquire any more Blood Ties episodes.However, as long as Kaleidoscope hasn't posted the word "Cancled" on their official site, the fans are still working for a renewal and seeing new episodes air on another network.
Suspecting that Lifetime will eventually close down their Blood Ties board, a backup board has been created at Everything Blood Ties. The board also aims to be a center for all the many "Save Blood Ties" efforts. Kinda like SaveBloodTies.org - only different ;-)
Blood Ties cinematographer Danny Nowak has been nominated for a LEO award for his work on Blood Ties for the episode "Hearts of Fire"

Lifetime reruns - sort of ...
"Beginning Saturday, February 9th and Sunday, February 10th, at 10PM (ET/PT), you can watch the entire series of "Blood Ties" from the beginning. A different episode will air on Saturday and Sunday nights on Lifetime Real Women (LRW). Check with your local cable provider to find out if LRW is available in your area."

I just wanted to give you an update in regards to the Blood Ties final two episodes. Those episodes will not air on-air they will air online instead.
The schedule is as follows:
November 30: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly will air on Television and "We'll Meet Again" will air online.
*Basically you will get two episodes this Friday (November 30)
Next Friday, December 7: The final episode will air online only.
(bit about how we'll handle the blog deleted because we haven't decided yet)
Also, is it possible to send a message to the fans letting them know they can watch online the final two episodes?

During hiatus the cast has been busy with their lives. When you star in a TV series, you work extremely long hours for 7 to 9 months, so you really need to get caught up with your life.Of course that doesn't mean they are not busy during hiatus too. Dylan Neal has filmed two Movies of the Week for Lifetime:
'Secret Past' was shot in Montreal and stars Kellie Martin, Adam MacDonald and Dylan Neal. It's a thriller about a woman trying to escape from her rather dangerous brother, and he plays Kellie's husband who has something of a wandering eye...
'The Art of Dating' was shot in Halifax and stars Ricki Lake. Neal basically play the guy who gets the girl (Ricki). Ricki's character is a cancer survivor, and the film follows her through diagnosis and recovery, both physically and emotionally.
And now he's waiting to hear news about Blood Ties - just like the rest of us.

Christina Cox is on the long list of actresses nominated for a SyFy award as Best Actress/Television.
Well done, considering the series has aired only 12 episodes on a cable network.
Hmm - guess the same conditions apply to Jill Wagner from "Blade the Series" and Kristanne Loken from "Painkiller Jane".
Come July, the list will be whittled down to 5 and members of SyfyPortal can vote once a day.

It looks like "Blood Ties" is going to air in the UK on the "Living" channel.There's a forum in the navigation menu now. Instead of duplicating messages on two forums, I decided to join up with the Bloodties-Bloodlines.com fansite and linking to their forum, so the forum is not hosted on this site. It's my feeling that having just one forum unites the fandom, whereas having many fan sites expands the fandom. I may be wrong, but that's how I'm doing it. Lifetime's forum is good for posting praise, (so all you US fans who are permitted to join, POST), but it's not really built for ease of use.
Actually, fans, please post about Blood Ties any place you feel could be relevant.

Strange people like to create accounts on MySpace and pretend they are someone famous.TWO strange people are pretending to be Kyle Schmid, "kyleschmid" and "kschmid84".
"kschmid84" is even emailing with people, still pretending to be the real Schmid.
Meanwhile, the REAL Schmid has trouble convincing people on the IMDB boards that he is the real Schmid.
So now you know who's real and who's a fraud.
